Oakland Cemetery’s popular guided walking tour, Malts & Vaults: Where Beer Meets History, returns on Saturday, November 24 at 3:00 p.m for a special Prohibition-themed tour. The hour-long tour is available with advance ticketing only and spaces are limited.
Tours will leave from the Bell Tower. Stick around after the tour for a complimentary sampling of beer selections from New Realm Brewing Company (courtesy of My Friend's Growler Shop) and a unqiue Prohibition-inspired cocktail. The tasting is for adults 21+ with valid I.D.
All ticket holders will enjoy a 10 percent discount on items in the Museum Shop. Authors Mary Boyle and Ron Smith will be on hand to autograph copies of their books, Atlanta Beer: A Heady History of Brewing in the Hub of the South and Prohibition in Atlanta, which are available for purchase in Oakland’s Visitors Center & Museum Shop.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of the tour to check-in. Tour check-in will be located outside Oakland's Bell Tower. Don’t forget your I.D. if you wish to participate in the complimentary post-tour sampling.
Parking inside the cemetery is limited, so please consider parking in the lot outside of Oakland’s front gate or on surrounding side streets.
