The Colour Negative
Fresh on the Atlanta music scene, The Colour Negative is a group of young musicians who bring dynamic energy to the stage and live performance experience well beyond their years. With introspective lyrics, driving melodies, soulful riffs and Taylor's enthralling falsetto, these songs and stories become quickly integrated into the backbeat of life. The band consists of front man, Ian Taylor (vocals, guitar, piano) and London Taylor (bass, backing vocals, synth). Ian states the band's drive: “In a world full of uncertainty and hopelessness, we want to show people a greater hope to believe in, a way to make a difference in someone’s life, a way of moving forward through the day-to-day.”
The Colour Negative, formerly known as 10StepsBack, emerged in September of 2008 as a small garage band playing covers. Within a few years, Ian was writing all original material. The band’s 2011 debut radio single, “Shout,” gained airplay across the nation, and was followed in 2012 by their first music video for their second single release, “Sound of Angels." These two songs were featured on the extended edition EP, released in June 2012. Brothers Ian and London are seasoned performers, and have played at Celebrate Freedom, Atlanta Fest, Ichthus Festival, The Peach Drop, The Mall of Georgia Summer Concert Series, Velvet Underground, The Vinyl, Rocketown, and at numerous venues across the Southeast. In August 2014,
The Colour Negative released their first full-length, self-titled album, produced and recorded exclusively at Crankcase Studios by Ian Taylor. Upbeat songs such as "Resistant Heart" and "Colouring Book" spark uncontainable energy in the heart of the listener, while soulful ballads like "Slow Down" inspire contemplation. The album masterfully intertwines elements of photography and film (which inspired the band's name: negative images on transparent materials are used for printing positive pictures), color imagery, and optimism, which will encourage fans to enjoy life and "live it well." The Colour Negative brings a distinct sound and obvious passion to an energetic music experience that inspires people to look for a deeper meaning to this life.
Jule Vera is a young female-fronted Alternative band from Alabama. Influences like The Killers, Queen, and No Doubt help the raw, pop melodies and emotional lyrics fit in a rock groove. Since their start in 2013 they have played with artists including American Authors, Wild Cub, Terraplane Sun, and David Cook. In 2014 they also won Best Emerging Artist at Summerfest in Milwaukee. Jule Vera is currently writing for their debut release.
Revel In Romance
Even before they released their first EP "Stripped" and were featured with a double page spread in Eide Magazine's elite publication, the 3 front members of alternative pop rock band REVEL IN ROMANCE, Saxony (19), Devin (23), and Parker (22) had already opened for The Band Perry. And Revel in Romance's drummer, Mark (25), had already performed with the Jonas Brothers, Keith Urban, and Kenny Chesney. Now, with the addition of their bassist Remi (26) and armed with producer Mama Jan Smith (Bieber, Usher, Matchbox 20, and more), they are poised to release their first album, which will feature their single "Little Love".
R in R's live performance "Little Love" video is currently #1 in the World on Balcony TV Global Charts (the same charts as Mumford & Sons, Foxes, Edward Sharpe, and others) and won a people's choice award.
