Come and enjoy a day of incredible music in Atlanta's most unique music venue: Historic Oakland Cemetery!

 

What is Tunes from the Tombs?
Now in its eighth year, Tunes from the Tombs is a day of incredible music and performances at one of the city’s most unique music venues: Historic Oakland Cemetery. In addition to three stages of great talent you can also enjoy Atlanta craft beer and local food trucks, visit some of Oakland’s famous residents on free mini-tours, and find one-of-a-kind souvenirs at the artist market.

 

When? Tunes from the Tombs will take place on Saturday, June 9 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., with gates opening at noon and performances beginning at 12:30 p.m.

Tunes from the Tombs is presented by the Historic Oakland Foundation. All proceeds from Tunes from the Tombs benefit HOF’s mission to preserve, restore, enhance, and share Historic Oakland Cemetery.

 

Who’s playing this year?
For a third year, Tunes from the Tombs features an all-local lineup, with over a dozen bands performing on three stages and busking throughout the cemetery.

Do I need to purchase a ticket in advance?
Because Oakland Cemetery is a venue with limited capacity, advance ticketing is strongly recommended. 

 

Advance general admission tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors, and $10 for kids 4-17. Children three and under are free. Rock in Peace VIP tickets are $75. Tickets at the gate are $30 for adults, $20 for seniors, and $10 for kids 4-17. Children three and under are free. 

 

Rock in Peace (RIP) VIP packages must be purchased in advance, online only. RIP packages are $75 for adults (plus taxes and fees). These are now SOLD OUT.

 

RIP ticket holders receive:

  • Private VIP area next to the MailChimp Mainstage including restroom.
  • Four drink vouchers for beer, wine, cocktails, or soft drinks
  • Tunes from the Tombs 2018 T-shirt and HOF Koozie
  • Free parking
  • VIP shuttle throughout the Cemetery. Shuttle pickup is at the Bell Tower, MailChimp stage at Potter's Field, the Beer Garden Stage at Lion Square, and the Under Ground Stage at North Public Grounds.

Tunes from the Tunes T-Shirts

Take a home a souvenir of your day rocking in peace. Order your limited edition Tunes from the Tunes 2018 T-Shirt at check-out and collect it at the Oakland Pop-Up Shop during the event. 

 

What else is going on?

  • Enjoy free mini-tours of Oakland offered throughout the event
  • Local food trucks and Atlanta craft beers will be sold throughout the event
  • Visit local artists and community organizations in our artists market
  • HOF pop-up shop and Visitor Center will be selling Tunes from the Tombs merchandise including our limited edition 2018 Event T-shirt
  • Visitors will receive a 15% discount at Squash Blossom Grant Park when they show their Tunes from the Tombs ticket. The discount is good from June 8-10. 


 

What else should I know?

  • Attendees are allowed to bring blankets and low beach chairs but no coolers, outside food or drink are allowed.
  • Parking: We encourage attendees to walk, bike, car share, or utilize public transportation to get to Tunes from the Tombs. 
  • What if it rains? Tunes from the Tombs is a rain or shine event, and no refunds will be issued for advance ticketing.
